Molly Fowler is the founding partner of Dorm Room Fund, where she has spent seven years building the firm, backing exceptional student and recent alumni founders, and developing generations of young investors who have gone on to become founders and investors across the technology ecosystem.

Molly joined First Round Capital in 2019 to lead Dorm Room Fund, training alongside First Round partner Bill Trenchard. In 2022, she spun DRF out as an independent venture firm and raised its first fund.

Before venture, Molly was an operator at Sidewalk Labs’ Intersection, worked in City of Los Angeles government, and ran political campaigns.

Madi Jacox is a principal at Dorm Room Fund, where she invests in young founders who see a different way of moving through the world, leads a student investment team of over 60 undergraduates, MBAs, and PhDs, and works closely with DRF’s founders across all aspects of early stage company building.

Previously, she helped found Sidebar, where she worked across product and operations, from early user and market research to 0 to 1 product development, sales, and early growth. Before Sidebar, she spent three years investing and operating with Mike Bloomberg and Tom Secunda’s startup studio, Hangar, building technology companies across defense, healthcare, edtech, and climate. Her earlier work spans IBM, Tech:NYC, and the U.S. State Department.
